Earth Magic
Ten acres of mountain land in the middle of the Nantahala National Forest and located along Pine Ridge in Macon County, NC, which I purchased in 1988 with the intention to create an organic - biodynamic garden and landscape, encompassing as many native wild herbs and flowers as I could. A labor of love, I started Earth Magic Herbs, a small organic herb nursery where I specialized in culinary and medicinal herbs, taught workshops designed gardens and wrote a weekly herb column for the Franklin Press. I no longer run the nursery, but continue my love affair with herbs and gardening. I became a Master Gardener for the state of NC in May of 1992, established Earth Magic as a Certified NWF Backyard Habitat in early 2000 and became a Wildlife Habitat Steward in 2006. My motto: Save the Planet ~ Grow Organic!
